Cleaning Questions for Wall to Wall Carpet
1. What method of cleaning do you use?
We use a hot water steam extraction method to clean your wall-to-wall carpet. Our mobile trucks are equipped with the latest self-powered water extraction system. We carry our own fresh water and all of the soil and dirt from your carpet is recovered in our vehicles and taken away with us. We do not leave a soapy residue and we hand treat areas that require greater attention.
2. Should I vacuum before the cleaning crew arrives?
Vacuuming is optional but generally not necessary unless you have a great amount of soil, residue, or sheetrock on your carpets.
3. Do you move my furniture?
Our trained cleaning crew will move any furniture necessary for a thorough cleaning. Under most circumstances, we do not move pianos or furniture that is particularly heavy or large.
4. How long does it take to clean my carpet?
It takes approximately 15 minutes to clean each room. This estimate varies based on the size of the room, the furniture that must be moved, and how soiled the carpet is.
5. How long does it take for my carpet to dry?
The carpet is fully dry 24-48 hours after cleaning, but it can be walked on immediately. The dry time can be affected by other factors such as temperature and humidity levels. In order to accelerate the dry time of your carpet, adjust the heat or air conditioning in your home or use fans for quicker results.
6. Can I walk on my carpet immediately after it has been cleaned?
Yes, you can walk on carpet immediately after it is cleaned. We recommend that you do not wear shoes that have been worn outside because you may re-soil the carpet. Clean rubber soled shoes, or no shoes at all is suggested. Use caution when walking from newly cleaned damp carpet to not carpeted floor to avoid slipping.
7. Do you promise removal of all stains and spots from my carpet?
We cannot promise the removal of all stains and spots from your carpet. Some materials permanently discolor and stain carpet. The type of carpet fibers is also a determinant in the permanence of a stain.
8. After the cleaning of my carpet, waves or ripples appeared. Why did this occur?
The waves or ripples should begin to lay flat as your carpet dries. Once the carpet is completely dry, the waves should be unseen. The waves occur if the carpet was in need of re-stretching prior to it’s cleaning. If the waves do not subside after the carpet has completely dried, please contact a member of our service team at (908) 464- 1480.
9. Are your cleaning products safe for my pet?
Yes, our cleaning products are safe for pets. We only use pet safe cleaning agents.
